Damian Moore is a Canadian power pop artist known for hooky riffs, catchy songs, and sharp, melodic songwriting.
With thousands of engaged followers across social media and regular radio airplay, Moore has built a reputation for crafting tightly written, emotionally charged songs that stay with listeners long after the first spin.
Born into a creative household—his father a classical composer and his mother an actress—Damian began writing songs at age six, inspired by the AM radio his mother played around the house. By seven, he had written, directed, and produced his first staged musical using his classmates as cast members. His early artistic achievements earned national attention: he performed for the Governor General of Canada at twelve, had his artwork selected by Parks Canada for public display, and saw his poetry published in Carleton University’s Writer’s Block anthology.
Embracing the DIY ethos of punk rock, Moore formed his first band, Zen Slap, at sixteen, performing original music around Ottawa. After relocating to the Greater Toronto Area, he fronted the post‑punk revival outfit National Hum, playing clubs and festivals throughout the region. Following the pandemic, Moore shifted his focus to a solo career, channeling years of songwriting experience into a more personal and refined sound.
His debut album, Physical Science, is a bouncy, high‑voltage collection of power pop and post‑punk revival tracks built for the dancefloor.
